| | Description | Like all the Furman Classic Series power conditioners, the PL-Plus DMC features the Series Multi-Stage Protection (SMP) circuit and the exclusive Linear Filter Technology (LiFT). The maintenance-free SMP surge protection handles the most extreme transient voltage spikes are safely absorbed, clamped, and dissipated without destruction of the circuit. LiFT takes ensures optimal performance through linear filtering with no leakage to ground, protecting the audio and video quality of your signal. Classic Series units have super-bright, long-life, retractable LED rack lights that produce virtually no heat and provide an extremely long life span. There is an on/off/dimmer control for the lights. A BNC back-panel connector will accommodate a gooseneck lamp for rear-rack illumination. A front-panel switch controls the gooseneck's operation. The Classic Series units occupy one rackspace each and have a convenient front-panel mounted outlet. A master switch controls operation of the rear outlets, and the front-panel circuit breaker can be quickly and easily reset should the voltage monitor be overloaded. The Series II power conditioners come with a 10', 14-gauge, heavy-duty power cable. The PL-Plus has all these Furman Classic Series features, as well as a front-panel digital meter that displays incoming AC line voltage with laboratory accuracy (+/- 1.5 VAC) as well as AC current draw regardless of load reactance, inductance, or resistance (+/- 0.1 amp). | |

Best thing I ever bought for line noise! Sep 04, 2010

My initial look into power conditioners was to protect my equipment then I saw that this had some line noise technology and let me tell you it kills the harshness by plugging everything nearby your equipment into it. I have a Mesa Quad preamp, Eventide Pitchfactor, Behringer Vintage Overdrive, Eleven Rack, Phillips 80 watt powered speakers, an Oyen Digital external hard drive, and a desk lamp plugged in. It is really great to have the extra room for the power supplies that are large also...and I have the front outlet if I need to plug in something else. I re recorded a song and killed eleven plugins in Pro Tools that I was using to try and get rid of the harshness. I thought it was my playing. Nope. You owe it to yourself to get one of these!
Peace of mind, and great sound! Recommended if you can't find a 1215 used or something. I found one but the guy on Craigslist wont get back with me so I got this one and I know Amazon will back it up too! I am an Amazon prime user and ordered this early Friday and got it early afternoon Saturday for $4 shipping.

I'd been hemming and hawing about a mobile power conditioner. I lead a few acoustic groups, and we do a good deal of outdoor parties at private homes. I try to get power from the laundry room, but it can be iffy, with clients worrying about the cables passing through their flower beds, etc.
Anyway, one night I turned on my amp, and smoke poured out of my custom made speaker! Lucky for me, we have a strong PA, hehe. Even more luckily, I'm an endorser, so I got a great deal on a new driver, provided I put the speaker in myself.
After going through that agony, I realized I MUST have a power conditioner. A voltage spike probably blew out the voice coil. You know - The little pop when you turn it on? Probably got a power surge and alot more than a pop!
This unit will absorb just about any surge you get. Plus - It's got a Voltmeter AND an Ammeter, so you can check the line voltage, and see how many amps you're pulling down. It also seems to filter some of the line noise we always get, and eliminates using those silly power strips that always get underfoot. It's got enough sockets to hold our two PA's, mixer, 2 amps, wireless receivers, etc.
The best thing? I don't even know when it's on! No POP at all! I agonized over spending so much, but it's insurance - When you realize how equipment it's protecting, it's silly to get anything less.

Got this to replace an older 20amp furman I had in my rack. This unit is sleek and modern. Voltage meter works great and alerts you when dropping down. The pull out lights are very nice as well.

This is my second purchase of Furman PL-Plus DMC 15 Amp Advanced Level Power Conditioner. First one I use to protect my amateur recording studio. And this second one I use for my hi end audio home theater in my bedroom. This power conditioners working excellent, worth every penny.

I can now trust the fact my professional audio equipment is protected using this device. So far it's been reliable with no issues. I wish it had individual switched sources but that's OK. The illuminated amber/white LED combo pullout lights make it for a nice addition and if you need to charge your iDevice it has a handy front convenience plug. You can get a BNC goose neck light so you can see while you work in the back of your rack mount. It was a little more than what I wanted to pay for other than that it's a great investment to protect your gear.
