 Just what I needed and well featured Sep 26, 2011

This is a very vesatile and well featured stand but it leaves me a bit dissappointed as to it's stability when used freestanding with my big 17" laptop on top because the feet tend to flex a bit and are not rigid. Assembly can be a bit tricky and if done incorrectly it can be unstable. I used the photo on the box as my guide. I was also pleasantly surprised as it also arrived with additional mounting clamps that I had not anticipated being included from viewing the Amazon webpage photo. I do expect however that if I was to utilize the clamps instead of the feet it would make it much more stable. It will require me to fabricate a coffin for my small Hercules DJ Control MP3 e2 to utilize them.
Time to visit Home Depot, hehe.

I went for this stand because it was $10 less than the one odyssey makes - big mistake! The instructions for assembly consist of 3 pictures and no detail...took me about an hour to get the basics of putting it together (which is a 2 person task, btw, 'cause someone needs to hold parts suspended in the air and the other needs to screw things).
The feet at the bottom which should hook under your dj coffin are slanted upwards, not flat, so the table is basically on a ridge and uneven..I have no idea how they overlooked this while designing this product. I tried to overlook it on this deal breaker - the apparatus is not sturdy enough to support the weight of my computer! When I put the computer on it the hinges give way and the whole thing fold at the midpoint like it was doing a crunch.
This thing is a piece of garbage and I have no idea how it made it through product testing...stay away.

I have no idea what the other person is talking about! This thing was a breeze to put together and works perfectly. I can attach it to my coffin or just clamp it to a table. It's very adjustable and really quite sturdy. There customer service was amazing when I emailed with a question. I sent the email pretty late into the evening and still got a response right away. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to elevate a laptop!! The shelf is great too!!

This is a very sturdy laptop stand. I recommend always using the clamps. Using the clamps is always a better approach and it secures a much more sturdy stand. I use this for my DJ set up. If you are a hardcore Traktor or Serato user than this is the stand for you. I recommend this product to anyone. Great buy!
