Yes, this cable costs quite a bit more than its competitors. But the quality is evident and I cannot detect any added noise or distortion like you'll find on some budget cables. In my experience, paying this premium pretty much eliminates the grief that you may or may not find with a lesser cable. Your recordings won't suddenly be way more awesome, but you'll have less risk of tripping on annoying problems.

Mogami is madness on my microphone! If you feel like I do about vocals. Then you know that latency should never be an issue. This is the ultimate mic cable in my opinion. It has a lifetime warranty and is as good as they get! If the big time studios swear by them, then who am I to go against the grain? This Mogami Gold is pure platnum for recording! It delivers vocals crystal as a bell! It has no buzzing at all. Very important when using a condenser mic! It's durable and made to last a lifetime. I would recommend it for anyone serious about making great music. Definitely go for the gold!
