I have been a Professional Mobile DJ for 16 years and for the last 10 years have used various Numark products, including the CDMIX2. The iCDMIX3 unit offers more flexibility with hooking up mics in that you now have the option to use either an XLR or quarter inch input for one of the microphones, something the CDMIX 2 didn't have. In addition, you can also use either XLR or RCA for the Master input.
So why am I mentioning specifics about the iCDMIX3 itself? Because it makes no sense to me that Numark would make a case for the iCDMIX3 and have it be cramped in the back where the inputs are.
There is not enough room between the back of the mixer and the back wall of this case to comfortably hook up wires. It's very cramped. There is a cutout on the back of the case that matches up with the quarter inch input for the iCDMIX3. The input for MIC 1 is tough to get to unless you have a quarter inch wire with a right angle on it. At least the carpeted case for the CD MIX 2 had the hole centered in the back.
Normally Numark puts out a very good product. I've always been happy with them. But this case unfortunately limits the amount of hook-ups you can have due to lack of space in the back of the case. If it was 6 inches deeper where the mixer inputs are, this would be a MUCH better case. I have always liked having the flexibility to be fully functional in operating the mixer while it's in the case. It looks sloppy and unprofessional to have just the mixer sit on a table in front of 300 people at a Wedding with the wires showing.
Let's hope Numark decides to get there act together and realize that this case just doesn't cut it.

NOW, for the product; I've owned one of these for a number of years. This is a relatively inexpensive alternative to more expensive "Hard-Shell" cases that cost more because they are sturdy enough to survive airline baggage handling or other rigors of the road. The Numark V2 case fits the intended CD Mix 1&2 very well, and holds up very well under short distance transport - like, hauling it to a gig in the back of my SUV. For the money, the V.2 is a surprisingly good item (which, by the wat, is being discontinued... if you want one, perhaps you should order one ASAP!

Despite the product description say that the same holds for the iCDMix2, the case is not for this product. The icdmix2 is about a 2 cm wider than the case. I lost my money and now I have a worthless product in my house.

Even though I wrote the company and asked them if this case would fit the Numark iCDmix2 system, they said yes. When I got the case, there was NO WAY it fit. I did not like the fact I sent them measurements and they still said it would fit when it did not.

This is a very attractive looking afforable light weight case for the Numark CD MIX I or II cd units. The units fit perfectly and the wires behind the mixer are hidden by a small light weight covering. There are two very small negative aspects. If used in an outdoor application, the sun can cause the plastic covering to bubble. And, the plastic covers for the holes where the wires come out are fragile (but they can be removed neatly). All in all it is an attractive functional case for your unit. I would recommended it highly.
