very stirdy made rack mounted CD player. this unit is well made and has good responce time. it takes up alot of space in the rack but it is a work horse. IF you have the extra space i highly recommend it.by the way if you are looking for features like the ability to scratch. walk away from this one.

I was a professional DJ when I was younger and I still enjoy some time on the mic. I wanted to set up a decent, portable system I could use with my laptop. I purchased this set as an addition in case someone at the event wanted a CD they brought with them played. Works perfectly! I got an amazing deal on a mixer so I wanted to complete my digital system with the ability to mix CDs into the events if asked to. I got this Numark set and put it in my rack. I've also got a Numark mixer in as well as a digital mixer for my digital music from my laptop. Everything set up perfectly and the system is great. I can mix music directly from my laptop with music playing from a CD using this great setup. The only issue for me is the excitement of this system has caused me to purchase a 3000 watt portable amp/speaker set to go with everything. That should be here in a few days and everything will be ready! Great system, it does just as it says. Numark is a great manufacturer I would trust for any of my DJ needs.

I am in the process of returning my SECOND CDN22 MK5, after AGAIN receiving a new unit which will not read CD-Rs properly, as promised in the specs. Returned unit #1 had a bad drive in CD#2 position and this second unit has CD#1 drive as the bad one. Granted, both of these units take a REALLY long time to read ANY CD-R, but to constantly be seeing "No disc" (and my 10 year-old cheapy Sony CD player brings them up immediately) is totally unacceptable! No more Numark for me!

As a radio engineer and dj, I've become really involved in setting up online radio stations and am very concious of spending hard earned money. This dual cd player has been "live" on the air nightly for 1/2 year without any problems whatsoever. It will compete well with commercial units I maintain in several AM/FM stations..and I'm talking about gear that costs $1000-$2000. If you treat this little guy well, he won't let you down. And, as usual, the ordering/shipping/servicing by Amazon was perfect on this order.
