| | Description | V7 is the turntable for today’s DJ. V7 delivers outstanding feel and unprecedented power in a single-platter digital DJ controller. V7 is based around the acclaimed adjustable torque, motorized-platter design from Numark's NS7 and delivers a host of professional features including real vinyl and a slipmat that analog turntablists will love, plus turntable control at ten times the resolution of standard MIDI, mouse-less library navigation, and Strip Search virtual-needle drop. V7’s link function enables you to combine two V7s with your choice of any mixer and your Mac or PC for a completely customizable, totally seamless performance environment.
V7 includes a professional 24-bit audio interface and contains premium faders, knobs, and buttons including controls for selecting tracks and blending audio effects in the included Serato ITCH software.
PERFECT FEEL Forget your experiences with other controllers. V7 has a seven-inch, motorized, high-torque aluminum turntable platter. The turntable features modern and classic settings that alter the feel to model the feel you prefer. A seven-inch, legit vinyl record with 45RPM adapter sits on a real slipmat. There’s no simulation here – V7 is the real deal.
We used premium, rugged, rubberized buttons and knobs for an unquestionably high-quality feel. Its recognizable, professional appearance is supported by clean design in matte and glossy black. V7 is housed in a heavy-gauge, industrial-strength metal casing that is ready for the torture of travel.
PROFESSIONAL SETUP Forget the mouse. Forget the keyboard. V7 renders software perfectly simple to operate, with its click knob and large, backlit buttons navigating though your music library. You’ll spend less time looking at the screen and more time enjoying performing thanks to the visual feedback you get from V7’s extensive LEDs and hands-on controls.
Grab a pair of V7s and your favorite mixer, such as DXM PRO, and you’re ready to rock. V7 has right and left deck audio outputs to connect directly to your mixer.
To complete your system, you can add our LAPTOP STAND to elevate your computer to comfortable height. Our custom 7-INCH COLOR VINYL records enable you to customize the look of V7 with eye-catching, translucent looks.
V7 is the first digital DJ system that enables two DJs to transition or play at the same time, on the same computer-based setup. That means that, with a pair of V7s, you can play your set, and continue spinning while the next DJ plugs into the other V7, mixes in with you, and allows you to unplug. The music never stops and the transition is seamless. With a four-channel mixer, two DJs can play side-by-side with two computers using just a pair of V7s. It's easy to assign Master and virtual-deck designations using V7's intuitive deck-select controls.
PRECISION CONTROL V7 sends control information over USB at more than ten times the standard MIDI rate. This innovative communication technique yields extremely high-precision, low-latency control.
There’s nothing like dropping the needle on a record for quickly locating a point in the track. We took that idea and developed our own modern take on it with Strip Search, the unique virtual-needle-drop touch strip. You can locate a point instantly within the track using the on-screen waveform and Strip Search.
Five hot-cue-assign buttons on each deck digitally mark your cues on the track. These marker points are recallable in ITCH, and you can even load Scratch LIVE cue points in ITCH.
We developed an extensive loop-controls section for creative remix capabilities. You can choose between manual and auto-loop functions and an automatic BPM analyzer further assists loop makers. Creating automatic smart loops of any measure length is a breeze, and you can mutilate and modify to your heart’s content with a variety of controls such as Doubling, Halving, Shift, and manual controls. Multiple loop banks make V7 a great choice for scratch and club DJs alike.
Beat matching is straight ahead with 100mm, smooth, stiff pitch sliders and plus and minus buttons, by popular request, for bending. There’s a zero-point LED, so it’s easy to know when you’re in the middle.
AUDIO QUALITY We took extraordinary care in selecting the components of the audio signal chain. V7 contains a multichannel, high-resolution 24-bit USB digital-audio interface.
The high-definition analog audio output features a minimized circuit path with containing only one audiophile-grade bipolar capacitor. This optimized design maximizes phase coherence, ensuring that audio is tight and punchy.
SERATO ITCH SOFTWARE V7 comes with Serato ITCH. For one-to-one communication, each knob, button, and control on V7 corresponds exactly to that function in the software. Serato ITCH is already familiar if you use Scratch LIVE. ITCH builds on Scratch LIVE and adds some key, new features. ITCH makes timecode a thing of the past, so you won’t need to worry about needles skipping or vinyl wearing out. You can load your Scratch LIVE crates, loops, presets, and cue points seamlessly in ITCH. V7 also works with most other compatible MIDI DJ software and supports your iTunes library.
With natural vinyl feel, precise control, pristine sound, custom flexibility, advanced performance, and rock solid design, the turntable has evolved. Meet V7.

Going digital, but staying analog May 03, 2010
By Drew Gagliano I purchased the Numark V7 from Amazon (after confirming with Numark that Amazon itself was an authorized Numark distributor and my 1 year warranty would be honored) a few weeks ago, after determining that they were offering the lowest price on the internet for this product.
I've had an opportunity to put a few hours on the unit and thought I should share my thoughts. As someone who has played strictly vinyl for the past 10 years, I really think that Numark has done an excellent job in designing this product and here's why:
-Build Quality. Numark really upped their reputation when they released the NS7 and now the V7. The unit screams quality with an all metal enclosure and brushed anodized black aluminum finish. It weighs ~16 pounds and feels very solid.
-Feature Set. It seems like they really listened to actual working DJs when determining the features to include. On one hand you have the traditional elements of the motorized platter and real vinyl feel, on the other hand you have the advanced loop and cue controls provided by interfacing with Serato ITCH.
-Easy to use and just fun. Despite having 35 buttons, 5 knobs, 2 switches as well as a pitch slider and effects slider, the controls are layed out in a logical fashion, and the integration with ITCH is seamless. Using the V7 is effortless, and the feel of cueing the track as you would on a traditional turntable is wonderful.
I had no stability or latency issues on my machine running Windows XP SP3 on an E8400@3ghz and 4gb RAM. A note to Windows 7 64 bit users: Numark's Windows 7 64 driver is still listed as "Beta" on their website, this might be worth taking into consideration. That being said, I have to say that I've been impressed by Numark's tech support. I exchanged a few emails with them and got responses in under 12 hours, and it turned out it wasn't even about an issue directly caused by the V7 - they were still happy to help!
For anyone looking to add a digital aspect to their setup, I highly suggest considering the V7. The motorized platter is a must for turntable purists looking to keep that tactile response that a spinning piece of vinyl provides. I have absolutely no buyer's remorse whatsoever and I'm really satisfied with the V7.

NUMARKABLE! Oct 30, 2010

NUMARKABLE!
20+ years of mixing starting with 1200's. Got a bit older and carrying crates and equipment in a Chrysler 1982 convertible, was long overdue.
Went from Denon CD players, to ION iCUE, to Vestax-VCI-100, and for the most part have been using the Vestax with Traktor for a few years. I heard about the NS7, but was not very impresses with having two units connected. If one went bad, what do you do? When the V7's came out, I was very very excited. Dished out the cash and got me a pair along with the Numark M6. What can I say but MAN, these things ROCK! I play House, Alternative, Disco, Classics, Industrial, basically everything and they bring me back to my earlier years with my Technics. They feel like mini 1200's. The parties I did would literally draw crowds at the tables. I've even had old partners who quit or stopped for years, jump right in and started mixing off the bat, with a little direction. I recommend these units to any DJ who is passionate as I am for the love of blending music. Itch is a very stable software, though I run it on my Macbook Pro and not a PC, I would like one day to operate Traktor with these bad boys. They connect via analog audio which makes it almost compatible with any setup you encounter when performing. Blend, scratch, reverse, slow-stop, everything can be done including effects built right into each unit. The newest and best in digital DJing available.
Just get'em. You will not regret it.

Stay true to the game...embrace the future Sep 01, 2011
By I touched the Trim! After taking a 20 year break from DJing I was surprised to see how things had changed. I got hired for some summer gigs hosting Karaoke so I showed up on day one with a small PA mixer, mics, powered speakers and the Karaoke CD collection from hell...let's just say my gear has changed as the summer progressed.
My first step was to rip all my cd+gs and purchase a hercules controller. After the second gig it was clear this was not going to work. I discovered two things. First, in between Karaoke singing, people wanted to dance and party...that's great but with the Hercules I didn't have the level of control I had becomed accustomed to years ago on my 1200's...which leads me to point number 2...
I wanted to mix, scratch, blend, etc...and just couldn't do it. I ventured down to the local GC to see what the latest was and saw the NS7...cool idea but I didn't want to be stuck with a big monster unit. That's when I discovered the V7's. I purchased one since it will function as two seperate decks (by selecting which deck you want to use at an given time) you can flip the switch while deck A is playing, and now you're controlling deck B. This lasted a week, when I decided let's do it right and pick up a second unit.
Now I rock two V7's and it's just like the old days. The bar crowds I dj for can't believe their eyes...or their ears when I blend and scratch for them. It's such a lost art, but with the V7's you can keep it old school, without lugging crates. Having the V7's allows me to DJ just as I would have back in the day and it's great.
As far as build quality these are solid units and seem to be well built. The units have lasted 2 to 3 gigs a week, 5-6 hours at a time all summer long and no problems yet. They look cool, feel great and latency is non existant. I get amazing response from these V7's and that's important especially when scratching.
Some people have complained about the software these are built for named Serato Itch. The original verion was extremely limited but Serato recently released 2.0 which not everyone is aware of, and they added numerous features which should make most DJ's very happy. Of course you can map other software to work with V7's so you're not simply limited to Itch, however Itch has advanced enough to become my software of choice.
Last point, I debated buying these, or the Denon CD player with 9" vinyl which were several hundred more each. I'm very please with the decision I made to get the V7's. I wouldn't have used the CD decks and although the Denon vinyl was larger, these decks feel great for any type of scratching I can throw at it, it's very natural feeling.
Bottom line, if you're thinking about it...and you are an old 1200 guy like me, don't hesitate...these are great.

Everything I had hoped for Jan 09, 2011
By Merry I just started DJing a year ago with a Hercules RMX. After getting into it, I began saving up for a more professional setup, and finally got a pair of V7's with a DDM4000. After having slight trouble getting the drivers installed onto my computer, the V7's worked perfectly. There are plenty of buttons for sending many commands, but the layout is clean and does not feel crowded at all. Unlike the RMX, where there is a very slight delay when sending commands, the V7's have an instant response time, and with the 7 inch motorized platter, they are perfect for scratching. Strip search is sometimes hard to use, but it just takes practice. I have used Virtual DJ since I started DJing, so I have not used Itch too much, but from what I can tell it runs fine (after all, it is one of the industry standard programs used by many professional DJ's). My only complaint would be although each V7 has sound outputs for 2 different decks, if you have 2 V'7s connected to a computer there is no way to control 4 decks, 2 from each, you need a sound card like the Audio 8 DJ from native instruments.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with the V7's, they are everything I could have hoped for. For the price, you are not going to find any better scratch controllers for computer. A DJ is nothing without good equipment. Although I am no big shot pro DJ yet, I am one step closer because I have V7's as part of my setup.
