Good but...a quick warning about the iPod dock Aug 13, 2011

We received this just yesterday so have not evaluated it fully. By and large, it seems like a good entry level product (hence the 4 stars) but my budding DJ was disappointed to find out the iPod dock does not work with the iPod touch 4g. Numark is not to blame for this - it is an Apple issue specific to the iPod touch 4g and third party docking systems. We were able to test the dock connector with an older iPod touch 2g/3g, an iPhone 3g, and with an iPod nano 2g. All worked perfectly - as far as I know, only the 4th generation iPod touch is problematic. (Some iPod touch 4g units may work but both of ours did not.) I just ordered a $15 dock extender cable from Amazon that I hope will be a workaround and will update my review when it comes. Meanwhile, the only other issue so far had to do with finding the cartridges and the counterweights in the package. They are taped into recesses in the larger pieces of styrofoam.
Update: The dock extender cable does not solve the iPod Touch 4g docking issue.
