Portable Turntable Jan 12, 2008
By draperychic I bought this for my son as a Christmas gift. He says that it works great. He can plug it on or use D batteries. He takes it with him when shopping for records or vinyl(as he calls them)! Wow, who knew that I should have saved all those LP's from the 70's. He takes it and listens to the records before he purchases them. I'm not sure if he's trying to figure out if they have scratches on them or if he likes them! He's happy with it so i'm happy with my purchase.

AC-DC Battery 3 Speed Portable With Audio Output And Pitch Control Mar 09, 2009
By Mulroon A nearly perfect portable that could have had a second internal speaker (stereo) like the Crosley portables, and a lid that stayed attached when opened. Beware of the switch on the outside of the case, which could easily be bumped into the on position when moving, thus draining the batteries. The platter slips for a second under the record (poor traction) when started, and there is no room inside to store the AC adapter. Though it's a bit quiet at full volume, it does what it was designed to, and looks great.

Good Product Jan 14, 2009

I was not expecting a whole lot by the looks of this turntable, what with the extensive use of plastic in its construction, but it feels pretty solid. Wouldn't want to drop it obviously. The internal speaker is surprisingly good. Not good enough to keep me from hooking it up to my sound system whenever possible, but great for casual portable listening. Can't speak for the longevity of the product, but definitely worth the 99 bucks I payed for it.
Acceptable Feb 09, 2012
By Kwabina I've been looking around the web for reviews about the USB port on this thing. Not finding any I want to get the word out myself. The main point is just don't buy this if you plan on using it to convert your vinyl to digital. The audio output through USB is sub par at best. I hooked this up to my Adobe software and it told me it couldn't output audio at anything above 41K. Now, normally I wouldn't stink about that too much but I noticed that all the audio sounded extremely compressed after recording and playing back. I went back and forth with headphones from recording to original and a distinct audio degradation was clear. Bass was basically non existent. It became at best baritone. Highs were also subdued.
That being said the standard audio output on this was just great. I was using a simple pair of earbuds that came with my cell phone and I found the audio quality to exceed my expectations for what looks like a plastic toy record player.
Conclusion: If you are buying to convert songs to digital move on and get something else. If you are hooking this up to your stereo on a budget buy it.
