The VCI-300 can control more than 90 parameters and functions of the included Serato software with high resolution MIDI signals sent via USB. The pulse resolution of the JOG wheel and pitch control fader is 4 times higher than the VCI-100 and provides precise control of each function. The pitch control fader also shares the same high quality fader parts of the input fader for advanced operability. Superb Audio
The built-in audio interface carries a Audio Codec IC with crystal-clear sound, generated by a delta-sigma modulation 24 bit stereo D/A-A/D converter. Audio connection includes 1 stereo input, 1 MIC input and 2 stereo output (Master L/R, Monitor L/R). Level Indication
A 12 level LED L/R indicator is set in the center of the top panel to monitor sound levels. File Control
Audio files in the software library can be easily selected and controlled with the CRATES / FILES / BROWSE key and the cursor switch inherited from the VCM-100. Emergency Thru Switch
The Emergency Thru Switch located on the rear panel is a countermeasure where you can use the VCI-300 with the provided ITCH software or without the computer connected if you simply want to play music from your external CD or MP3 player. The ITCH software reads music from your iTunes library or the Serato library you use for Scratch LIVE, making it the perfect device for recreational or professional DJ's. Adjustable Jog Wheel Torque
The torque of each JOG wheel can be adjusted to prevent them from moving from low frequency feedback and altering the pitch when using the VCI-300 in such places like clubs. Fader Curve Control

I absolutely love this machine! Vestax VCI 300 is not a toy inasmuch an extremely well built, professional looking, all in 1, plug & play DJ Controller. The high quality adjustable tension platters are precise and have a good turntable-like feel. The faders also feel well and are positioned nicely. The Serato Itch program is very comprehensively laid out, uncomplicated, and held up for 6+ straight hours of glitch free dj'ing! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because Serato Itch has no effects and does not read WMA files. I hope the final version of Serato upgrade software will! Very good investment indeed, the days of the turntable may indeed be numbered!

I love my Vestax VCI-300, and it is just as good as the other reviews say it is, but there are a couple of key flaws...
1. Headphone Output. The headphone amp is not sufficient for mixing at loud parties, clubs, etc. Serato introduced a software update that helped improve the gain on the headphone volume, but at the end of the day the hardware is lacking in this area. Also, there is no split cue to put the monitor in one ear and the program in the other.
2. Microphone Input. The soundcard cannot handle live MCing via the mic input. Depending on the how you set the buffer, the mic is either on an almost unbearable delay or the sound quality fizzes out and sounds like you are talking through a blown speaker. Because of this, I always have to bring additional hardware to route the output of the VCI-300 through another mixer in order to get a reasonable quality mix between music and microphone(s). Very annoying.

I have had this for a week now. The first day I played with it for about three hours nonstop and it worked great. The next day a played for about two hours and I had a small hiccup in the system but since then have not had any problems. I have used this for around 10 hours. As it stands I love this thing. It works great and YES you really can scratch with this. No audio effects other than reverse and setting up que points as a sample.

I am no DJ, but I like to play one sometimes in my bed room. I have no ambitions of ever spinning so my enthusiasm is not based on anything other
then I am having hours of fun, and re discovering my music.

This controller is good for the money and does what I expected. I used to use virtual DJ but serato is so much more professional and on point. I did some research before choosing this unit and it seemed like the best option in its price range and I'm still convinced that it is. My first gig with the VCI-300 lasted 6 hours and went down without a hitch. I got a lot of compliments about it as well. In my opinion this unit is capable of doing everything you need to do and it's extremely convenient. There are some minor downfalls however: setting the BPM for songs can be a pain or horribly inaccurate (but can be corrected), sometimes songs will be at the same BPM and will be properly beatmatched but will still slip gradually out of sync, and there was no warranty card included unlike the description mentioned. Other than that, I love this thing and use it all the time.
